A Long-Awaited Pairing — Coming to Life Sooner Than Expected

We are incredibly excited to announce a highly anticipated and deeply meaningful pairing that is finally becoming a reality. This upcoming litter represents far more than just a breeding; it marks a major step forward in our mission to preserve and elevate the coated working dog within the breed.

Both sire and dam are exceptional individuals — powerful, sound, and well-rounded dogs with the kind of strength, structure, and mental clarity we strive to produce at Lucianhaus. This pairing has been on our radar for some time, and bringing it to fruition feels like a milestone not just for us personally, but for the future of coated working-line dogs as a whole.

This litter is particularly close to my heart. It brings together two dogs who embody everything I value in working structure, genetics, and temperament — dogs who have proven themselves in both their physical capabilities and their mental resilience. The blend of these two lines is intentional, with the goal of producing stable, confident, and driven puppies who are ready to thrive in protection sports and real life applications.

“Queso” is an exceptional male from a strong PSA3-producing lineage, known for producing elite working dogs with grit and clarity. What sets him apart is his balance — powerful and driven for protection sport and tactical work, yet rooted in stable, versatile genetics well-suited for detection and real-world applications.

We have high hopes for what Queso will bring to the table - Crushing grips, mental clarity, independence, recovery, versatility, and the unmistakable “wow” factor that defines the Zuko lines.

Queso is also tightly linebred on Zuko, reinforcing the traits that have proven themselves generation after generation. With Frida, we anticipate an explosive outcross that not only strengthens the gene pool but also brings fresh potential to an already powerful foundation.

Frida is the total package — a powerhouse of a working dog with a rock-solid temperament and an exceptional balance of drive, confidence, and clarity.

From day one, she has proven herself in every environment we've introduced her to. Whether it’s slick floors, tight spaces, loud noises, or crowded areas, Frida navigates it all with impressive composure, quick recovery, and a confident, problem-solving attitude. Her environmental stability is one of her standout qualities and reflects the solid genetics and training behind her.

In protection work, Frida is forward and committed, showing true intent in the work. Her bark is intense and purposeful, and her grips are consistently full, deep, and crushing — the kind of commitment decoys feel. She’s a serious dog when it’s time to work, and an absolute joy to train and handle. Everyone who meets her is drawn in by her energy, confidence, and sheer presence.

Frida’s drives are off the charts — her hunt drive is persistent and intense, her ball and food motivation are through the roof, and she brings a relentless motor to every session. Though she is larger, she is structurally correct, conformationally stunning, and moves with power and athleticism.
